Bomb Baby Illustration

Baby Bomb Print
This baby with a bomb is my first assignment from my illustration class.  I think it turned out so fun.  It was a great learning experience.  I used acrylics on this piece and put on many, many layers.  It was a new technique for me, but I can't wait to use it in the future.

Jeremiah Kille

I have been down for the count with either kinder-bugs or circus bugs.  It seems that every time one of my kids starts a new school, they end up with a little bug and I get the mother of all bugs.  All I can figure is that my little princess brought me home a lovely present from kindergarten.  And I'd prefer to think that, since the other alternative is a circus bug.  And that sounds downright scary!

In the meantime, I would like to share an artist who is a childhood friend of Rob's.  Jeremiah Kille, and he is so good.  He has his first solo show at San Francisco's "Whitewalls" coming up, and I can't wait to go!

Watch for him in the art world, he is amazing.

The Circus is in Town

I had the pleasure. Yes, the pure child-like euphoric pleasure of seeing the circus this weekend.  I don't know about you, but I love me some circus.  Seriously, I do.  I was on the edge of my seat while they were performing those tricky horse gymnastics routines.  My heart was a thumpin', and it wasn't because the men were all wearing tights.  Rob was equally impressed with the gymnastics, Cirque du Soleil style. {Why does that not surprise me?}  And Little B was in heaven with her circus elephant inspired sno-cone.

Sukan Art Etsy Love

Today, I just have to share one of my favorite Etsy stores.  Sukan Arts, based in Europe.  They have been making me drool over their fabrics and pillows for a while now, and I just can't resist posting about them. caption
Well, if you haven't seen a pillow that you MUST have,  you should check out their Etsy store.  They have over 1600 pillows to pick from (oogle over).  Trust will have pillow envy!
